Taradale is over 100 years old and was originally a separate town before merging with Napier in 1968. It still retains its own unique atmosphere and identity.

    Hawke's Bay's second oldest winery. Take a guided tour through New Zealand's first wine museum housed underground in old concrete wine vats whose adjourning walls have been opened up, with relics dating back 3000 years, our working winery, and then enjoy a tasting.     Drive through Patoka and Puketitiri to the carpark in the Kaweka State Forest. Follow the track down the cliff towards the Mohaka river until you find the pools. One of New Zealand's magic spots! Feeling energetic then a 3 ½ hour walk will take you to the Mangatainoka Hot Springs near Te Puia Hut a fantastic place to take friends and family.
