Taradale, is centrally located midway between Napier (8kms/10mins) and Hastings (12kms/15mins) city centres, and 10 mins from Hawke's Bay Airport.

Taradale is over 100 years old and was originally a separate town before merging with Napier in 1968. It still retains its own unique atmosphere and identity.

Taradale, Napier's largest suburban shopping centre, offering a unique shopping experience with over 140 business all located within walking distance of each other. A fantastic mix of cafes, bars, restaurants, fashion, retail and services.

Church Road winery
Hawke's Bay's second oldest winery. Take a guided tour through New Zealand's first wine museum housed underground in old concrete wine vats whose adjourning walls have been opened up, with relics dating back 3000 years, our working winery, and then enjoy a tasting. Daily tours at 11.00am and 2.00pm. A must visit!
Tironui Estate
Established in 2002 Tironui Estate, nestled just below "Sugarloaf", is one of the newest wineries in Hawke's Bay specialising in producing malbec, merlot and cabernet wines.

Otatara Reserve

Drive through Patoka and Puketitiri to the carpark in the Kaweka State Forest. Follow the track down the cliff towards the Mohaka river until you find the pools. One of New Zealand's magic spots! Feeling energetic then a 3 ½ hour walk will take you to the Mangatainoka Hot Springs near Te Puia Hut a fantastic place to take friends and family.
